Why nature?
Nature provides a holistic and enriching environment for children, positively impacting their physical, mental, emotional, and social development. Encouraging kids to spend time outdoors and explore the natural world can have lasting benefits throughout their lives, and what better playground to thrive in than right in New Hampshire’s back yard?
While in nature, we are exposed to a multi-sensory experience, stimulating children’s senses and enhancing cognitive development. Observing plants, animals, and natural processes can spark curiosity and a love for learning. Natural environments offer endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.
Children can use their imagination to play with sticks, rocks, leaves, and other elements in nature, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. When outdoors is not an option, nature can be brought indoors to facilitate a connection to the outdoors by using materials and subject matter that tie us to nature.
